Happy 11th Birthday Braxton. It was such a great day. The kids loved playing in the water on such a hot day. They had a relay race to see which team could fill the cup the fastest with the ladle. Even the littler kids played. Easton and Kelsey like to be included. Next they had a water balloon fight. Everyone played and everyone got wet...even grandma and the dog. And what is a water fight without water guns. Thanks for the great day Braxton!!

Fiesta Days!!!

We went to the Fiesta Days festivities this year. The parade was fun. Nice and cool. We had the shade of a huge tree. It was a little overcast and breezy. Perfect weather for a parade. The girls were GREAT.
We were sitting a little ways from the curb...far enough away the candy never got thrown to the girls. They never complained, they just sat and enjoyed the parade. McKenzie overheard an older gentlemen behind comment that they were so good that they should have been in the parade. I felt bad that they didn't get any candy and was very impressed by their behavior so we went to the carnival afterwards. There was only one ride the girls wanted to ride. I wasn't so sure if Kaylie was enjoying the ride or not. I couldn't tell if she was having fun or needed to throw up (ha,ha) Thanks for the fun day girls. I love you!!

Rylie lost a tooth

Rylie was so excited to have lost her 3rd tooth. It has been loose for quite some time and she has been twisting and wiggling it for a while. Last night she just got tired of wiggling it and brought me the dental floss and told me to pull it. It was so loose that I hardly got the knot tied around it before it fell out. She always gets so excited when she looses a tooth. The first person she asks to call is Grandma Godfrey. So of course, we had to call grandma first. She put it in a baggy and put it under her pillow and was excited to find this morning that the tooth fairy left her $2. She tells me she hears the tooth fairy come. She can hear her wings flap. The fun imagination of young kids. :)

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!

The best thing about Summer is homemade ice cream right?? We got a craving for homemade ice cream. The girls sat outside the whole hour it took to freeze the ice cream and watched for it to harden. We invited the neighbors over for ice cream cones a few hours later. Boy did it taste good on a hot Summer day. Thanks Gilberts for coming over and having ice cream with us.

I love a parade!!

Today we went to the American Fork parade. One of the highlights of our Summer. We got to sit with Mindy and Russell and the kids. I got to hold baby Betty (yeah!!!) for the first time since she was born. She is sooo little and sooo sweet. Then we went to the car show and sat with grandma and grandpa for a while.
It was so hot that we decided to get a fruit smoothie. Yum!! Before we left we had to stop at the carnival and get cotton candy. The best thing about a carnival right?? We always have so much fun when we are together.Monday, July 14, 2008

Happy 4th of July
Because the wind was so bad at our house we ended up doing sparklers a few days later. The girls were so excited to do sparklers and because we had to wait a few days the "anticipation" made them very excited. Once we finally got the sparklers lit Rylie was too afraid to hold one. She said she wanted to wait for dad to come help her hold one. I finally just shoved one in her hand and make her realize that the sparkler wouldn't burn her. After that she had lots of fun. Happy 4th of July girls.
