Kenzies' Week in Review-Golden Explorer Award, Hershey Track Meet and Mini Society

McKenzie receiving her Golden Explorer Award. There were more kids from her class to receive the award than from any other 5th grade class.

This is all the kids who received the award. Kinda sad to me. Out of 120 5th graders there was 20 kids who earned the Golden Explorer Award.

Wow!! Look at all that money!

With lots of hard work and tears (cuz some things were hard) she finally accomplished everything she needed to do an got her well deserved award. Way to go Kenzie!! It was a lot of hard work.

On Tuesday she participated in the Hershey track meet. I missed all of her events. I got a phone call from the school that Rylie had thrown up and I needed to come get her. Needless to say I didn't get to see her participate in a single event, and she was done by the time I got there at 10:00. UGH!! She didn't do as well as last year but she tried and did her very best and that's all that counts.

On Friday she participated in the 5th grade Mini Society. This is where the kids have to invent a business, pay property taxes, pay for business licenses and everything that comes with running a business. We decided to do hair bows, bracelets and flower clips. Mindy and I spent the previous Saturday making these items. Thanks Mind for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you. McKenzie did very well. Her booth was the most popular booth among the girls and moms. We were able to assemble 100 hair bows and flower clips and had about 25 bracelets. The mini society started at 9:30 that morning and she was sold out of her items by 11:30. McKenzie earned $2416.00 at her booth that day. Whoo Hoo!! Great job!!

Mothers Day 2010

Wyatt loves horns. It doesn't matter if they are deer, elk, moose...whatever. He packs them around like they are his favorite toys and gets so excited when he sees them. He is definitely his fathers boy!!

Kaylie and Rylie-best friends

So solemn

What a cute face-Wyatt loved being able to touch the "shishies"

A born fisherman.

Rich and the kids going for a 4 wheeler ride.

For Mothers Day this year just like every year we got to spend the day at our property. I love spending time there. Being in the mountains and the very best thing...spending time with my family.
I am so grateful for the blessing that I have been given to be a wife and mother. I have the 5 best kids EVER...and I thank my Heavenly Father for them every day. Each one of my children bring me such added blessings and joy to my life. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and the knowledge that I KNOW that Colton is mine forever. And although he is not with us here on this earth that he is always in my thoughts. He is what keeps me on the straight and narrow. I know I have to live worthy to ensure that he is mine in the eternities. I love each one of my kids for their sweet personalities, their loving nature and for just being them.
I have also been blessed to have such a wonderful husband. He is such a hard worker to provide for our family. He is kind, thoughtful and loving. He sacrifices so much for me and I am so lucky and proud to call him my husband.

Kaylie and Rylie's Baptism Day

A couple of weeks ago I took the girls to the Provo Temple and we took their pictures in front of the Temple. They all turned out great. It was hard to choose which one to pick to use for their invitation, but we finally decided on one.

Today was an amazing day. Kaylie and Rylie were baptized and confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Uncle Russell was able to perform both ordinations. He did an amazing job and the Spirit was felt at our meeting. I will never forget standing in the room after they were baptized, both of them soaking wet and shivering, being able to hug them both, feeling so clean and new. What a wonderful experience.
Kaylie and Rylie had many family and friends that were able to come and support them. We are grateful for each and every one of you and the amazing examples you are to us. Thank you for coming to support our family.

My sweet Kaylie and Rylie. I am so proud of you and the choice you made to be baptized and confirmed today. Heavenly Father is proud of you and I am proud of you. You are growing up to be beautiful young ladies. Never forget that your Heavenly Father is ALWAYS there for you. All you need to do is get down on your knees. Love, Mom
