| Customize a photo slideshow This year we really enjoyed the Fiesta Days Celebrations which lucky for us also co-insides with the 24th of July holiday festivities. The celebrations last all week long. We attended the rodeo on Thursday night. Wyatt loved the animals but his all time favorite thing was the motorcycles. We were lucky to be entertained by the "Wild Child." He puts on quite a show. After he left the arena Wyatt spent the next five minutes saying" uh oh...a go?" He wanted to know where the motorcycle went. LOL!! We mostly took advantage of the festivities on Saturday. The day started out with the parade on Saturday morning. The parade was really good this year. I was surprised that it lasted almost 2 hours. That's great for a small town parade. The kids came home with enough candy to last them till next year. Ugh!! Later on in the afternoon we ventured down town and made our way through the booths and carnival. We came across this quaint little "Pioneer Town". You'd think that after living in Spanish Fork for over 5 years I would have known about this? We just happened upon it by accident. I love learning about Mormon or Pioneer history. That kind of stuff just fascinates me. It was very interesting walking through this little "town" that has been created by a family in our City. It's interesting to me to see how people used to live. While we were walking around we got a surprise phone call from Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey. They stayed and watched the kids ride the carnival rides and then treated us to dinner at the Amber. Poor Kaylie got sick from the carnival ride and was not able to enjoy her dinner. I think I'm pretty safe to say that she won't be riding a carnival ride like that again. Awwww, poor Kaylie!! She even lost the little bit of dinner she was able to get down. We came home and rested for a little while...surprisingly enough Kaylie put herself to bed by 7:00 that night and when I woke her up a little later to see if she wanted to go see the fireworks she opted to stay home. She really must not have felt good. On our way downtown we got to see the Mapleton City fireworks. They did an amazing show. I would almost venture to say they were just as good as the Stadium of Fire. We waited and waited for Spanish Fork City to start their firework show. By 10:45 the show still hadn't started and McKenzie and Rylie (and mom) was very tired. All in all it was a super great day. I love spending time with my kids. They are definitely THE BEST!! |

Silly Wyatt
We have been doing a little rearranging in our house. We finally moved McKenzie downstairs into my scrapbook room. We repainted and made everything look so girly. Goodbye to the old ugly blue paint...hello purple paint. I was a little leary of the the color McKenzie chose but by the end of the project it looked really nice. Unfortunately I lost my scrapbook room and for now it's all in the crawlspace in boxes but some day I'll figure out where to move it. LOL!
Kaylie and Rylie were moved into McKenzie's old room. Eventually we'll paint but one project at a time right?? Wyatt is still in my room and eventually will be moved into Kaylie and Rylie's room but I want to paint there too. Right now it is just an empty room with the desk that was in Kenzie's room.
One day I thought I had lost Wyatt. I hollered and hollered his name following the sound of his voice. This is how I found him....sitting in the empty bedroom on the shelf in the desk. I just couldn't help but run to grab the camera and get a shot of that cute smile. You will probably notice the huge bruise on his forehead. Poor little kid decided to take a nose dive off his bike a few days earlier. But, look at that face!! What beautiful blue eyes. What a handsome little boy!! Sure love ya little man!!
Happy Birthday America

This year with the 4th of July festivities lasting 3 days we had plenty of time to do all the fun things we wanted to do.
On Saturday we had a barbecue with Grandpa Connelly in his backyard. Stuffed burgers and all the delicious food to go with them. Yummy!! Afterward we went and sat down on the Provo High football field and waited to watch the all famous Stadium of Fire fireworks. Carrie Underwood sang this year. Boy would I have loved to go listen, but unfortunately I didn't make it this year. All in all the firework show was great and the kids loved it. Wyatt was in awe because this is his first firework show that he actually was old enough to enjoy. It was a hoot to listen to him and his responses and watch the joy on his face.
Sunday was just a nice day of relaxing and spending time with our little family. We did watch the neighborhood fireworks that evening. Thanks guys for the fun entertainment.
Monday we opted to not go to the parade which was ok with me. It was quite toasty. We did go to the car show with Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey. It's always great fun to spend time with grandparents. We had lunch with grandma and then walked around to see the cars and made our way into the mall and pre school shopped. Goodness I am really worried about the clothes this year. There was not much my girls liked. We just might have to take a trip to Park City and hit the Outlet Malls.
