First Day of School

I can't believe that the Summer vacation is officially over. The twins started first grade and McKenzie started fourth grade today. They were so excited to be back in school (for some silly reason I don't understand) I guess they really missed their friends. McKenzie was so excited to start school today she told me she was awake at 5:00 am. They were bathed, dressed, had eaten breakfast, did their chores and was ready to go out the door by 8 o' clock (even though school doesn't start till 9 am.) Too bad I couldn't have gotten them to do that all Summer. Kaylie and Rylie are in the same class this year, but their desks are not by each other. Their teachers name is Mrs. Broderick. I was super impressed that when we went to meet her yesterday she remembered that Kaylie and Rylie are twins even though they were not together. Kaylie and Rylie were excited to pack a lunch today even though pizza was on the menu. They wanted to see what it was like to pack a lunch. Ha, ha.
I can't believe that McKenzie is in the 4th grade. She makes me feel old. Her teachers name is Mrs. Pardew. This is her first year at the school. McKenzie was really excited to get her. She came to the school last fall and talked to the kids and told them that her interests were BYU football and disney princesses. McKenzie came home and told me this was the teacher she wanted because they had the same interests.
I hope the girls have a great year this year. I love you girls!!
