Today is my Mom and Dad's 35th Wedding Anniversary. Initially they planned on doing nothing to celebrate it. Thanks to me dad finally decided it really was something worth celebrating. So yesterday morning he set out on his quest to make their anniversary a memorial one. He told mom he needed to go to the parts store to get some things for the car he was working on and spent all day making plans. He went to the floral shop and got mom some gorgeous flowers. Went to Applebee's and made special arrangements for a "surprise" dinner, and then called and invited all us kids to be there before they were. He went to Target and bought candles and candlesticks to make for one romantic night, and arranged with me to have "Precious and Few"-their song playing in the background.
All us kids were so excited to see how the night would play out. We all got there at 5:30 and mom and dad got their shortly after. Their table was set with the beautiful flowers dad had bought and the pink candles lit. Awww how sweet.
We had great food, awesome company and the best night EVER!! Congratulations to mom and dad for 35 wonderful years...and here's to 35 awesome more. We love you both so much. Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you taught us kids, for the innumerable lessons we learned and the great examples you are to us.
