This year with the 4th of July festivities lasting 3 days we had plenty of time to do all the fun things we wanted to do.
On Saturday we had a barbecue with Grandpa Connelly in his backyard. Stuffed burgers and all the delicious food to go with them. Yummy!! Afterward we went and sat down on the Provo High football field and waited to watch the all famous Stadium of Fire fireworks. Carrie Underwood sang this year. Boy would I have loved to go listen, but unfortunately I didn't make it this year. All in all the firework show was great and the kids loved it. Wyatt was in awe because this is his first firework show that he actually was old enough to enjoy. It was a hoot to listen to him and his responses and watch the joy on his face.
Sunday was just a nice day of relaxing and spending time with our little family. We did watch the neighborhood fireworks that evening. Thanks guys for the fun entertainment.
Monday we opted to not go to the parade which was ok with me. It was quite toasty. We did go to the car show with Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey. It's always great fun to spend time with grandparents. We had lunch with grandma and then walked around to see the cars and made our way into the mall and pre school shopped. Goodness I am really worried about the clothes this year. There was not much my girls liked. We just might have to take a trip to Park City and hit the Outlet Malls. Smile
