Happy 12th Birthday McKenzie

Wednesday night McKenzie attended her first Young Womens activity.  Whoa!!  She is growing up so fast.  I wasn't quite ready for all the emotions that would come with my 'baby' turning 12 and going to Young Womens.  Her beehive class and leaders kidnapped her for a nacho bar and games.  She was totally caught off guard which was the best part and she had lots of fun.  She is going to really enjoy being a young women.

 On Thursday we celebrated McKenzie's 12th Birthday!!  She got up and went to school and that morning her beehive leader came and decorated her bedroom door with bees and a hive that says 'Welcome to our hive."  So cute! I arrived at school just before lunch to check her out and take her out for her birthday.  We met dad, Grandpa and Uncle Jason at the Sizzler where we got to enjoy a great lunch with good company, and then back to school she went.  Her class decorated her desk and made her a card. 
After I dropped her back off to school I came home and decorated the front window so she it would be the first thing she would see when she got home from school.  For her birthday dinner she chose to have blueberry pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns, cheesy eggs and orange juice.  We also had a birthday cake and presents from us.  We gave her makeup...wasn't ready for that either, and some music and a shopping spree for some new summer clothes. 

Saturday night we had a big family/friend party,  barbecued hot dogs and had chips and salads and more presents and more cake and ice cream.  My friend made an amazing cake for McKenzie.  She got lots of money that she wants to spend on a mountain bike and maybe clothes.  Great Grandma Frampton gave her some of her earrings-how special!!  Overall McKenzie had a great birthday.  She said it was her most favorite birthday ever....haha.  Considering she's only had 12 birthdays, that's pretty great!!

We love you McKenzie!!!  Happy 12th Birthday!!  We are so blessed for you to be a part of our family!!
