Kaylie and Rylie and their 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Rigby. Rylie was very apprehensive about having a male teacher but so far so good and she is really loving school and says her teacher is very fun. Whoo, I'm so relieved.
The first day of school. I was so sad to realize that Summer vacation was over and school was starting. On the last day of Summer vacation I told the girls I was not ready for school to start and starting the next day I officially declared 3 more months of Summer vacation. Needless to say they were not happy. They were looking forward to seeing friends that they hadn't seen all Summer. It was heartbreaking for me to realize that this is the last year that McKenzie will be in elementary school and that next year I will have to take her to Junior High. It was heartbreaking for me to realize that this will be the last year EVER that my girls will all attend the same school. And it was even more heartbreaking to me to realize my girls are growing up and there is nothing I can do about it. I remember walking through the hallways taking McKenzie as a little first grader and seeing the big 6th grade kids walking through the halls, thinking it would be a really long time before my McKenzie would be a 6th grader and now that day is upon me. They got some really great teachers though and I am excited for the things they will learn this year.
Recently Wyatt has been big into Monster Trucks. He LOVES anything that has to do with Monster trucks. He is constantly packing around a truck or watching truck cartoons. First thing he asks for in the morning is his monster truck. He sits at my computer and asks to see monster trucks. So we have to get on you tube and google monster truck rallies. He is all boy. He loves to get dirty and play with bugs. You'll never see this kid packing a doll around. :)
The finished product. LOL!! Of course Wyatt had to color all over himself as well. He was not a very happy boy when he had to come inside for the night.
Of course Wyatt had to get in on the action to decorate his house. They spent hours in the back yard decorating and playing. Wyatt had a ball.
I can't believe I didn't blog at all the whole month of August and there was so much that went on. At the first of the month we decided that we wanted to replace our furnace and air conditioner. Of course Rich picked the hottest week of the month to turn off the air conditioner and we all roasted. Rich brought home the furnace and of course we had to turn the box into a house for Wyatt.
